Uploading files🔗︎
To ensure that your product is efficiently manufacturable, we review your design against a comprehensive Manufacturability Analysis of all machining steps.
Manufacturability analysis
You will immediately see in the manufacturability analysis whether the desired product can also be produced by Dumaco. This is shown under "manufacturability".
Uploading my file is not going well🔗︎
Below we provide some tips to figure out why a file upload and/or quote creation is not going well.
- Make sure you can upload your file
- The file must meet the general guidelines. You can find the guidelines here.
- Did you also follow the guidelines for the desired operations?
Guidelines for laser cutting - If you see an orange or red exclamation mark under manufacturability, your file does not meet the guidelines.

Upload a file format that is supported by Dumaco Portal. View the guidelines.
I get another message🔗︎
For all notifications, see the notifications and manufacturability page.
Can I upload multiple files at once?🔗︎
Yes you can. You can drag and drop multiple files at once to the Dumaco Portal screen or click the 'red + ' in the screen itself to upload.
My file does not upload properly🔗︎
This is certainly not intended. We would like to resolve this with you. Please contact us. Always include the offer number (DP number) and attach relevant files. Your files will be reviewed by our experts. This may take several business days.
The dimensions are incorrect after uploading🔗︎
You have probably uploaded a file in which the original measurements (unit metrics) are shown in Inches. Our portal automatically converts this to Millimeters.
How can I adjust the inches measurement?🔗︎
Change the original file/drawing within a CAD package. That is, change the dimensions (unit metrics) from inches to millimeters and upload the file again.
I get another error message🔗︎
Please let us know by contact. Always include the offer number (DP number) and indicate which error message you received. Add relevant files as attachments. Your error message will be checked by our experts. This may take several working days.
Converted files🔗︎
We cannot provide comprehensive support to customers using converted files. For e.g. Adobe illustrator or Adobe Indesign files converted to a CAD file format (for e.g. with the help of third party plugins). Design your part with our specifications and guidelines.
Adobe converted files
Adobe illustrator or Adobe Indesign files converted to a CAD file format (for e.g. with the help of third party plugins) are often not created in accordance with the proper specifications. As a result, they are causing errors when attempting to upload them to the portal. Issues we run into with converted design files is open contours, wrong line styles, wrong layers or tight corners due to too many vector points.
PDF file not accepted
Uploading a scanned drawing or PDF file is not possible. Please see our specifications and guidelines.
